Leading Inverness solicitors and estate agents picks up major national award

An established and award winning city estate agents has been singled out for outstanding customer service and has just been awarded a prestigious industry award in recognition.

Munro & Noble, based on Church Street in the Highland capital, which has had a presence in the city for more than 100 years, has achieved the Gold Award for the Inverness area, in the national annual British Property Awards, which celebrate the best estate agents across the UK.

Now in their second year, the British Property Awards aim to highlight and reward excellence within the UK’s residential property sector but at a local level. Entries are not invited, and instead agencies are evaluated independently by mystery shoppers against a set of 25 criteria with a specific emphasis on outstanding customer service.

Without prior warning the judging panel appraise each agency over a period of months. Furthermore, if no agent in an area meets the award standards, then an award is not presented.

At Munro & Noble, Stephen Grant of the firm’s property shop, was singled out for displaying outstanding levels of service.

The judges in particular praised Stephen for his promptness and friendly manner, as well as a willingness to help. They also complimented him on having excellent knowledge of the property that they enquired about and said he provided relevant and pertinent information and was able to answer all questions.

The judges also noted that when they made a further enquiry three days after the first enquiry, Stephen remembered this potential buyer, their previous call and subsequent correspondence sent and was instantly able to take the enquiry forward.

As a Gold Award winner, Munro & Noble will now go through to the national finals in London, where they will be in the running for the Scottish title later this month.

Gordon McIntosh, practice manager at Munro & Noble said: “Here at Munro & Noble we could not be happier to have won this accolade, particularly as The British Property Awards is a completely independent organisation.

“This award is a fantastic achievement for Peter, Thomas, Elizabeth, Fiona and Stephen. It is testament to their dedication, in not only wishing to provide excellence in Customer Care, but to actually achieving the very high standards demanded by clients. Being identified as exceptional by the judges, particular praise needs to go to Stephen.”

David Gregory from The British Property Awards said it was a great achievement for Munro & Noble. He added: “Our awards have been specifically designed to be attainable to all agents, removing common barriers to entry, such as cost, to ensure that we have the most inclusive awards. Our award has also been designed to remove any opportunity for bias or manipulation. If an agent has been attributed with one of our awards, it is simply down to the fantastic customer service levels that they have demonstrated across a prolonged period of time. Any agent that has been attributed with our award should be proud that their customer service levels provide a benchmark for their local competition.”

The British Property Awards are one of the most inclusive estate agency awards providers. A team personally mystery shops every estate agent that has entered against a set of 25 criteria to obtain a balanced overview of their customer service levels. The judging criteria is both comprehensive and detailed to ensure that agents have been rigorously and fairly judged. Those estate agents who provide a fantastic service and go that extra mile for their clients are then rewarded and highlighted for the service they provide, acting as a beacon to highlight these attributes to their local marketplace.
